10 TANGOS 10: Special Tango dance seminar starting at La T on 1st October

Welcome to this special TANGO DANCE SEMINAR at La T milonga in Malmö!

We chose ten of the most worldwide well-known  instrumental tangos, each of them from a different orchestra, those that represent better that orchestra as well.

WE WILL: 

- work every class with one tango 

- understand the music, 

- summarize the according dance style 

- learn movements to interpret the song

- adapt all we learn to your own style

WE WILL NOT: 

- create a choreography

- use fixed sequences 

SCHEDULE:
10 Weekly classes on Tuesdays, 18.30-19.30. (afterwards milonga until 22.00)

Each class dedicated to an special tango and one orchestra

THEMATIC:

• 1 October: Poema (Canaro)
• 8 October : El recodo (Biagi)
• 15 October: Don Juan (D´Arienzo)
• 22 October: Tigre viejo (Fresedo)
• 29 October: Bahia Blanca ( Di Sarli)
• 5 November: La yumba ( Pugliese)
• 12 November: Pavadita ( De Angelis)
• 19 November: Mala Junta (Laurenz)
• 26 November: Quejas de bandoneon (Troilo)
• 3 December: La Cumparsita (different orchestras)

GOAL:

• Experience each tango in a different way 
• Learn basic approach to different tango dance styles, and which one fits better to that tango and that  orchestra
• Improve appropriate technique, interaction and flow necessary to dance that tango (including the most essential concepts embrace, basic patterns, links between movements, different dynamic)
• Adapt what you already know in a simple way to be able to dance in a different way each orchestra, and to enjoy much more dancing each tanda.

LEVEL
This course is open to all levels. We will give basic information useful for BEGINNERS, and more complex elements to  INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCE. Some basic tango knowledge is required. If you have completed just Beginners level, or less than ten tango lessons, please contact us and we will consider your level.


GOOD TO KNOW: 

• You may attend to the WHOLE COURSE or SINGLE CLASSES.
• We recommend to attend to whole course to get a perspective about difference between orchestras/ periods/ tangos.
• Join with or without partner.
• Registration and payment in advance is required if you attend to the whole course.

PRICE:
----Course - 10 classes : 900 kr. (including entrance fee to Milonga afterwards, 19.30-22.00)
----Single classes ( including entrance fee to Milonga afterwards, 19.30 - 22.00) : 120 non members, 110 members
----Single classes not including milonga: 80 kr. non members, 70 kr. members

Welcome to this special workshop about ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF MODERN TANGO: FLOW / ALTERATIONS ( adapted for social dance)

Because of the success of the first class about Modern Tango last week, we are happy to present once more on Tuesday 17th September our guest teacher from Buenos Aires, PABLO KLIKSBERG.

AIM OF THE WORKSHOP
---- Repetition about basic concept of Alterations.
---- Get to know other ALTERATIONS and how to use them to create a real FLOW IN THE DANCE.
---- Get all the TIPS about the DYNAMIC on the dance floor, adapted to your own dance style.


GOOD TO KNOW!
---- Open to all levels. Some basic tango knowledge required.
--- Haven't been at the the previous class? VERY WELCOME! A short and precise summary will be offered!
---- Have you been at the previous class? VERY WELCOME! Do not miss the chance to go deeper, learn new versions of the movement and add the FLOW concept!

Pablo Kliksberg, tango teacher from Buenos Aires, is known for his very dynamic and natural style of dancing. Since 1995 and now for 23 years he has been exploring tango and now integrates different styles - nuevo and traditional characteristics. He teaches tango since 2004 in tours around the world every year. Being pedagogical, structured, clear and generous giving information with his own particular system of teaching – synthesis of constant learning from many Argentinean teachers like Chicho Frumboli, Gustavo Naveira, Gabriel Angio and Mauricio Castro.
