WARMLY WELCOME EVERYBODY TO THIS SPECIAL CLASS FOR IMPROVING YOUR TANGO PERFORMANCE WITH THE TALENTED TEACHER AND DANCER FROM ARGENTINA NIDIA MARTINEZ BARBIERI !
In this class we are going to combine exercises from Contemporary Dance techniques together with Pilates.
As goals we are going to experience:
- The use of diaphragmatic-cost breathing: this breathing helps to hold more comfortably arms from the back (ideal for a more comfortable woman embrace).
- Abdominal strengthening, necessary to have control of the legs movements and turns.
- Mobility of the column: bends, stretches, spirals.
- Leg movements: on the ground, in the air. Different designes.
- Coordination with music: to move listening to the music. Musical phrases. We will use tango to experience how to dance this music in a different way.
DO NOT FORGET TO BRING COMFORTABLE CLOTHES, AND SOCKS ( we train without shoes)

(afterwards there´s an open tango class 18.30 - 19.30, and Milonga/dancing tango 19.30 - 22.00)
Prices: 60 kr.
Class + Milonga afterwards ( dance tango 19.30 - 22.00, including coffe, tea, muffins and fruits) : 100 kr
Class + Open tango class + Milonga afterwards: 160 kr.
ABOUT CONTEMPORARY DANCE - PILATES
Contemporary dance is the name used to talk about different techniques develped in different parts of the world since the early twentieth century. These techniques were created for professional dancers to have their bodies more available and ready to dance and express themselves in different styles.
Pilates is a training method developed in the second part of the twentieth century. In there there is a coordination of every move with the breath. The result is mostly a strengthens in the muscles of the center of the body (abdomen, hips and back).
